Factories, Trade & B2B
Digital marketing for manufacturers — fewer enquiries, much bigger ones
B2B is not retail with a longer form. Your buyer does not decide in ten seconds — they check you, compare you, and often make contact only after they have already made up their mind about you.
This is the one place where ads matter least and being credible when someone checks you matters most.
No lock-in contract. A written quote before any work starts. You talk to the founder, not a sales team.

The problem
What manufacturers and traders tell us
All our enquiries come from one marketplace
And you pay for every one, compete only on price, and own none of the relationship. That is rent, not a channel.
Buyers ask for a website and we do not have one
In B2B the site is not for selling. It is for surviving the check that happens before anyone contacts you.
We get enquiries but they are the wrong size
Usually because nothing on your page tells a buyer what you actually make, in what quantity, and for whom.
Our competitor is smaller but looks bigger
Because they have photographs of their unit, a clear product list and a page that loads. That is presentation, not scale.
Ads did not work for us
They often do not, at least not first. B2B buying cycles are long and the click almost never becomes an enquiry the same day.
Nobody can find us on Maps
Which matters more than people assume — buyers and transporters both look you up, and an unverified listing reads as a business that may not exist.
The evidence
What has changed in how buyers check you
Published industry research, source named against each figure. Market data — not Nexkali client results.
47.3%
of clicks on a local search go to the Google map pack
Up from about 42% the year before.
68%
need at least 4 stars before they will consider you
Up from 55% a year earlier. BrightLocal 2026
47%
will not use a business with fewer than 20 reviews
Review count reads as proof the business is real.
What works here
What we would actually recommend for a B2B business
Deliberately different from what we recommend a shop.
01
A credible, specific page first
What you make, capacity, materials, certifications, who you supply. Photographs of the actual unit. This is what a buyer reads before deciding whether to contact you at all.
02
Google Business Profile and consistent details
Same name, address and phone everywhere Google can see them. An unverified or contradictory listing quietly costs you credibility at exactly the checking stage.
03
Then search, then ads — in that order
Buyers search specific product terms, and those searches are low volume and high value. Ads come last here, and sometimes not at all.
AI and B2B
Your buyer is increasingly asking an assistant first
This shift matters more in B2B than anywhere else, because the buyer is researching rather than browsing.
Use of ChatGPT and similar AI tools to find businesses rose from 6% to 45% in a single year — BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey 2026. A buyer researching a supplier is exactly the kind of person who asks an assistant rather than scrolls.
AI assistants quote pages that state facts plainly: what you make, in what quantities, where, and for whom. Marketing language gets skipped. So the same page that convinces a human buyer is the one that gets quoted — which means there is no separate “AI strategy” to buy.
Questions
Straight answers
Does digital marketing even work for B2B in India?
Parts of it do and parts of it do not, and being honest about which is the point. Ads usually underperform in B2B because the cycle is long. What does work is being findable for specific product searches and being credible when a buyer checks you — which is a page and a profile, not a campaign.
We get everything from IndiaMART. Why change?
You do not have to leave it. But every enquiry there is paid for, price-led, and shared with your competitors on the same screen. Building your own findability does not replace it — it gives you a second source you own, where the buyer arrives already convinced.
What should a manufacturer’s website actually say?
What you make, in what capacity and materials, what certifications you hold, who you supply, and how to reach a human. Photographs of the real unit and real product. Buyers are checking whether you are a genuine operation — everything else is decoration.
Should we run Google Ads?
Sometimes, on very specific product terms, once tracking is in place. But we will often tell you to spend that money on the page and the listing first, because in B2B a click that lands somewhere unconvincing is simply wasted.
How do we measure results when a deal takes months?
By counting enquiries and their quality, not sales. We track calls, WhatsApp messages and form fills, and tag which page or search produced them. You match those to the deals that eventually close.
Do you visit the unit?
Yes, and in B2B it matters more than anywhere else, because the photographs of your actual plant and product are the whole credibility argument. Stock images fool nobody who buys for a living.
How do I get B2B leads?
Fewer people search, but each one is worth far more. That changes how the account is built: tighter keywords, heavy negative keywords to keep out students and job seekers, and enquiry tracking so you know what one actually costs. Volume targets are the wrong measure here.
How do I generate B2B leads without a sales team?
Make the enquiry easy and the credibility obvious. A listing that looks like a real factory, a website that survives a purchase decision, and a phone number someone answers. Most B2B enquiries are lost before anyone speaks to anyone.
